  3. Import from CSV with new data format

The CSV import feature doesn't match what's exported by the app. This means that when I import data (migrating from a competing service) I can't get the full benefits of the visualizations / tracking / etc. This feature request is to support importing data in the same CSV format as data is exported from BG Monitor (eg. include "Insulin", "Total bolus" fields)

  4. Support for sensor reading with NFC enabled phones (Freestyle Libre etc)

It would be nice to be able to read in sensor data and add data in a more elegant way than the Freestyle Libre reader since it has very limited options for other data than glucose values.

It would be very handy (pun intended) to integrate this with a smartwatch/android wear device. As a person who likes to spend time in the nature, mostly mountain biking, this would be a very useful combination for predicting when I need to stop for carbs.

Thanks for the great work so far!

  5. Fix hours remaining message

I think this is a bug.

When you come back to the app the "(n hours remaining)" is still stuck at the time it was the last time the app was opened.

I have to close and reopen the app to see the hours remaining. This is useful to know to get an idea of what insulin is on board.

Try closing the app with the back button instead of the home button. That closes the app instead of backgrounding it so it’ll update the next time you open it.

  6. Retain bolus values for each individual record

Current bolus values should be included with each record.
Currently, the bolus settings are reflected globally, rather than what it was at the time of record entry. It would be useful to have a historical record of what the bolus setting was at the time of the record entry.

  8. Automatically choose insulin for boluses for over 1 unit

Some people have 2 types of insulin, basal and bolus.
For this group, for corrections and meal boluses it is usually a given that fast acting insulin would be given. So to select the insulin of choice when boluses are needed.

  9. Tracking Control Solution

Control solutions provide a means to test a glucometer for accuracy. There are three types: Low range, in range, high range.
Each lot of test strips will often produce different results, but need to be within the indicated range. A test strips from the same lot will often produce the same BG number when a control solution is used. By tracking control solution results from the same lots, you can detect any deviations to understand the lot's accuracy, and, in turn, blood test results. Most glucometers will exclude control solution results from it's averages. Keeping track of lot numbers and…

  10. Add a calculator link to the carb input line

I often eat several different carbs fora meal and it would be awesome to have a link to the calculator popup so I can quickly add everything together. The other option would be to change the code to allow math functions I. E + - × ÷

  11. Add the current insulin dose from the most recent entry beside the running total on the home screen.

Instead of having to open the entry log at the bottom if the last entry dosage was visible beside the running total on the home page it would simplify trying to calculate current dosage. Not critical but simplify for a quick view of the last dosage in the entry.

  14. Meal Time Turn Off

The meal time feature is great but it only really works if the person has a set schedule. Could there be an option to turn it off and let the user mark the meal and or snack?

Having what the meal consisted of is fantastic but storing it in the notes deters me a bit from taking additional notes. Could there be a meal field and a notes field?

  16. Add protein, fat, and calories to csv and/or graph

First off thank you for making such an app with a data rich export.

Although carbs are generally the most important macro to track fat and protein, even some other micro nutrients, are important factors. It would be great to have additional nutrition information in entries even if it is only seen on the csv export

  17. Correct when Food says 100g as measurement but when clicked goes to another type

When using the food database, some major food types will come up labeled under the amount of carbs for 100 grams of mass. This is fine, but when you select it, the food goes into the log under a different carb value. It's hard to describe but if you mess around with the database enough you'll see it. What I propose is that we make it so it either uses the 100g, which is all fine by me, or make it so we know the unit of measurement for which the carb information will actually be entered for in our…

  18. Port application also to iOS

I know this would be a more major undertaking, but having multiple mobile OS support I think would add value to the usual majority that mix droid and iOS apps between their tablets, phones, and other devices.

How you would decide to do that is the $20M question.

Web UI access is of course one solution, and i don't recall if that exists yet or no with BG. An IOS native app is the other. In each of course the backend and end user connections would have to be HIPAA compliant - and that is no small task, but necessary.

  19. Rounding of boluses

Carbs and BG boluses are rounded individually whereas the doctor told us to round them once they are added. This creates big differences.

  20. improve the graph in statistics so that it doesn't drop to !when you miss a day or two of bg readings.

It would be easier to read and interpret graphs in statistics if the line just connected dot to dot for readings, instead of returning to zero if a day or two of testing is missed. Also, change the color of bg test value if in normal range. The black blends with everything else on the screen and makes an in range reading hard to see when scrolling thru entries....green would be a good choice for within target values.
