Try closing the app with the back button instead of the home button. That closes the app instead of backgrounding it so it’ll update the next time you open it.

If I left the app open and waited then it would be out of sync still, think it'd make sense for it to update at least every 30 minutes?

I have just checked and pressing back still backgrounds the app
